Story: Peddodu(Venkatesh) and  Chinnodu(mahesh) are brothers and they are in their job trails in cities. Prakash raj and Jayasudha look after their maternal daughter-in-law Seethamma(Anjali). chinnodu falls in love with Geetha(Samantha) when they meet in a relative's marriage. The whole movie is about living life happily without harming others and being helpful to everyone we come across.

Performances: Venkatesh was good as usual, Mahesh babu is superb and grown up as an actor a lot. Anjali is very good and samantha is passable. Jayasudha was natural. Prakashraj is impressive as always. Rohini Hattangadi, Kota Srinivas rao, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani  very good. The remaining supporting cast was good. Art work is fine. editing could have been better. Cinematography is top rated.  Music was good. The screenplay is predictable at times and the narration is slow.

Analysis: Venkatesh was good, He was subtle in emotional scenes. Mahesh was brilliant, he delivered most of the subtle expressions with his eyes. His slang was good initially but later it appeared artificial. Anjali is the show stealer, her expressive eyes delivered every thing, she has a long run to go in Telugu industry. Samantha was okay and her smile looked very much artificial and plastic. Music by Mickey.J.Meyer was good. All the songs were suitable to the situations and are script oriented. Lyrics by Ananth sriram and Sitaram Sastry are good. Background score by Manisharma brought soul to the film. Cinematography by Guhan was good, he made the middle class house look rich and colorful. Editing was not crisp. Art was is fine. The screenplay was not exciting. The Direction is good in some scenes. The production values are good.

The director was not clear in certain aspects, in terms of characterizations ---  Venkatesh character could have been well established based on his straight forward nature. some establishment scenes after he loses his job could have helped in elevating his nature. Mahesh character was limited to commenting girls in Hyderabad and acting(biting his grandma and laughing) in the village and talking over phone with heroine all through..

The dialogues in the second half are good. It's a mix of old fashioned ones and the contemporary(Ganesh patro and Srikanth Addala). The complete first half was good with the characters introduction and the narration was smooth. There was a lag in the second half even though there are some good emotionally touching scenes. Chinnodu telling to Peddodu on the terrace to take decision independently. Chinnodu giving warning to Rao Ramesh in the restaurant. The complete Bhadrachalam episode(even though the transformer scene was little dramatic) was handled well.

Anjali was fantastic and she literally lifted some scenes in the second half. Rohini Hattangadi was good. Prakash raj was subtle. Rao ramesh impresses with his characterization, the remaining supporting cast fitted to the roles well. Ravi babu's character was introduced well and lacked importance later. The drawbacks of the film are --- there is absolutely no story, scenes were not filled with required emotional depth. Audience may get bored with too many phone talking scenes between Mahesh babu and Samantha, Mahesh boarding train in Relangi station(too many times) and Venkatesh coming to give him sendoff, lack of entertainment or funny episodes which may provide relief to the common Audience, neither  the director highlighted/ concentrated on core village traditions and customs, how they are drastically falling now in present generation.

Do not got to the movie with heavy expectations(expecting  a multi-starrer), the story is simple(absolutely nothing). The scenes are realistic and very close to heart and one can get connected easily with the roles well. Lack of strong emotions and dragged slow narration make you stand at the same place where the story has started even after the movie ends up. It's a simple realistic film done by big stars. Different and sensible movie likers may love the movie a lot. There are chances of clicking in the 'A' centers for it's sensible narration, we have to wait for the B,C centers response. The family Audience response is also awaited.

Reel Guru Meter:
Story/Screenplay: 50%
Performances:80%
Entertainment: 30%
Narration: 70%

Plus: Performances, Sensible scenes, Music
Minus: Slow Narration, Entertainment, commercial elements

Verdict: Feel Good flick and it is not for all. Masses may not like it as it's not a routine commercial pot boiler.

Babji doesn't like that and decides to warn Cherry, then he witnesses cherry murdering DCP and steps back. Who is cherry? Why is he killing one by one forms the remaining story.

Performances: Ram Charan suited well to the role of Nayak(leader). His body language is good. He improved a lot in terms of performance also. Kajal is okay as heroine. Amala paul is passable. Jayprakash Reddy and Posani Krishna Murali impress more in the comedy department. Brahmanandam, Venumadhav, Raghu Babu, M.S are okay. The remaining supporting cast fitted to their roles well. Story is simple. It has been dragged with entertaining scenes. The screenplay is good. Dialogues are good. Music by Thaman is above Average with foot tapping numbers. Cinematography by Chota K. Naidu is good. Art work and Editing are neat. The Direction is good only in parts. Few scenes lacked depth. The Production values are Good.

Analysis: The much awaited action flick directed by V.V.Vinayak in the combination of Mega Powerstar Ramcharan was released today(first in the pongal race). The movie has all the ingredients of a mass flick. The mass Audience may like it more due the vast entertainment quotient. Ram Charan is Good in Action Scenes. His body language suited well to the role of Nayak. Even though he failed to show much variation between the two roles, he managed with the rock serious look.  Kajal is okay. She looked glamorous and the chemistry between the lead pair looked good. Amala paul is passable. Some how she looked dull and her chemistry with Charan is poor. Brahmanandam entertains as usually with his typical body language. Jayprakash Reddy is hilarious. His role evoked good humour. Posani krishna Murali entertains in the second half. Rahul Dev, Raghu babu, Pradeep rawath, Ashish Vidyarthi, Surekha Vani, Rajeev kanakala are okay in their roles.

Sequence of Songs:

1. Laila O Laila
Singers: Shankar Mahadevan, Ranjith, Rahul Nambiar, Naveen
Lyrics: Chandrabose
This song is picturised on Charan as a Club song and Charan looked energetic with muscled body. He entertains with graceful steps. He danced well.

2. Oka Choopuke Padipoya
Singers: Vijay Prakash, Bindu Mahima
Lyrics: Bhaskarabhatla
Picturised on Kajal and Ram Charan on the streets in abroad locations. The song looked decent.

3. Kathi Lanti Pilla
Singers: Thaman S.S, Shefali Alvaris
Lyrics: Chandrabose
Picturised on Kajal and Charan in virgin locations. The locales are scenic and pleasing to eyes.

4 Subhaleka Rasukunna
Singers: Haricharan, Sreya Ghoshal
Lyrics: Late Veturi
Picturised on Amalapaul and Charan. The song starts with a slow pace. The first stanza is bit slow with frozen locations in the backdrop. Charan impresses with a couple of slow and graceful steps. The song gets into us only towards the ending which has snow filled icy locations of  Iceland.

5. Nellorae
Singers: Jaspreeth Jasz, Suchitra
Lyrics: Sahithi
Charmee shakes her hips with Charan in this item song. The song is catchy and instant hit among the masses. Charan came up with a couple of good dance moves.

6. Hey.. Nayak
Singers: Sreya Ghoshal, Naveen
Lyrics: Chandra Bose
The song is picturised on Charan, Kajal, Amalapaul. The placement of the song is good and Lawrence choreographed it. It has rich grandeur. The VFX in the song are not so appealing.

Music by Thaman S.S is a plus to the film. All the songs sounded good and came out well on the screen too. Background score is also good in few(especially Nayak Theme)scenes. It literally elevated the image in some scenes. Cinematography by Chota is good. All the virgin locations of Iceland are well shot. They couldn't be highlighted on the screen due to poor light. Chota has gone for more close-ups, even in the fights also.  Art work is neat. Editing by Gowtham raju is neat, he managed most of the boring scenes with slick shots. Fights by Kannal kannan are filled more with thread work. Choreography was good, Dinesh master has done fine job and Lawrence was okay in the Climax song.

Story and Dialogues are by Siva Akula, he provided a wafer thin story line and that was narrated in beaten style(we have seen in many flicks).Dialogues are good. Siva managed to evoke good amount of humour and keep the Audience engaged with his Comedy punches all through. Some dialogues are witty and instantaneous. Some Trivikramish ("Nippu ani telisaka pattuko koodadu, Yedava ani Telisaka Pettuko koodadu") punches also worked well. The complete first half goes on smoothly with entertaining scenes between Charan, Brahmanandam & Jayprakash Reddy. The second half also has ample entertainment in the form of posani Krishna Murali. The counseling scenes(even though we have witnessed such scenes in Srihari's film) evoked good laughs in the theater.

The best part of the film is the combination of seriousness with Entertainment. Vinay scores good marks in the screenplay department rather than Direction. The screenplay is racy and no single frame looked boring. The Direction is good in few scenes. Some Scenes looked below Average. The Love Track between Charan and Kajal is not up to the mark, failed in generating romantic feel and also the track between Amala paul and Charan looked half baked.  The fight episodes are filled more with rope work which appeal only to the masses. Vinayak couldn't elevate the hero buildup scenes. Some scenes appeared routine (similar to Vinayak's earlier films). The scenes which show how an ordinary man grows as a leader literally looked pale and below Average(substandard). The Climax could have been better. Overall Vinayak manages with his mass Pulse and speedy narration

It's a treat to Mega fans and masses to see good Dances in the songs, Action and Entertainment. The Movie fares well at B, C Centers. We have to wait and see how the movie fares at the 'A' centers as there is big release(SVSC) queued up in a couple of days.

Reel Guru Meter:
Story/Screenplay: 60%
Performances: 70%
Entertainment: 70%
Narration: 60%

Plus: Songs, Dances, Entertainment
Minus:  Wafer thin story, routine scenes

Verdict: Hit Delivered. It's a package of Action, Dances and Entertainment. Paisa Vasool. Perfect film for masses in this festive season.

Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu review

Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu
With Power comes Responsibility.

I am a big fan of Pawan Kalyan,  I like him for his sincerity, his infectious mannerism, his honest approach towards his profession and I relate with him with his frustration when his films does not live up to the expectation. Not only me, but several fans of Pawan Kalyan (they are Millions) who throng to theatres first day irrespective of his last film performance at Box Office praying to God that this film should succeed, it is a similar experience like watching Sachin Tendulkar play. You want him to perform, succeed and win laurels as in their success is our satisfaction.
I do not blame pawan kalyan, he trusts the director, the script but what translate on the screen he has no control. Camerman Ganga tho Rambabu is a perfect plot for Pawan Kalyan to display his talent but Puri Jaganath is a man in a hurry. He has no time to flesh out the character, to develop nuances, to go to into the details as hit or flop it is not making difference to his life, his life goes on but for fans of Pawan kalyan one more opportunity missed, The entire film looks like a rush job, you can feel the actors just coming to sets and just deliver dialogue, there is no time to get into the skin of the character, they appear lost, there are so many scenes where Pawan kalyan looks confused, not sure of himself and totally lost. The film is mostly indoors, all the songs are shot on the sets, (there is no time to go outdoor I presume) .  Puri Jaganath fails in several Departments, he had talent and resource at his disposal but his lethargy shows.  His approach towards film making has become very inconsistent, he knows that out of dozens films he makes one will succeed and that one will make him available In the market and make him create wealth for himself irrespective of others losing their wealth especially the distributors, exhibitors, sometime the producers, and the actors who trust him may make wealth but loose their credibility.
Puri has a decent plot which has potential to become a block buster, whenever a superhero does a message oriented movie it has to arouse the interest of the commoner, motivate him, inspire him and raise a comfort level that I am with you. Recent example Amir Khan TV show, His honest approach and his treatment towards evil practices/causes in society awakened all strata of society including Government, NGO etc. and made the common man thinking and the Government sit up and take decisions.
If you start diagnosing about the film you can write pages and pages about what went wrong and what might would have been done, but the damage is already done, The Collections are slipping, the distributors/theatres may loose their money, the only saving grace is Damrukam not releasing as schedule, it would have made a dent in CGR collections.
As a fan of Pawan Kalyan I wait again for his next film and hope the directors will use his talent to the maximum and make us happy and the line they should always remember “ with power comes responsibility.”

Cameraman Rambabu Movie Review

Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu

Review
Rating: 3.0/5.0
Presented by: S.Radha Krishna(Chinababu)
Banner: Universal Media
Cast: Pawan Kalyan, Thamanna, Gabriela Bertante, Prakash raj, Kota Srinivasa rao, Tanikella Bharani,Ali, Brahmanandam,Uttej, Scarlett Wilson,Nassar
Action: Vijay
Art: Chinna
Editor: SR Sekhar
Cinematography: Sam K. Naidu
Music: Mani Sharma
Producer: DVV Danayya
Story-Screenplay-Dialogues-Direction: Puri Jagannath
CBFC rating: ‘U/A’
Release Date: 18-10-2012

Story: Rambabu(Pawan Kalyan) is mechanic and he runs a repairing shed. Pawan reacts to every sensitive news and goes to question the culprits. This attitude is liked by Ganga(Thamanna) who works for a media channel, she invites him to join her channel as reporter. What are the issues that take place in the state and how Rambabu as areporter faces them is what the movie is about?

Performances: Pawan kalyan is fantastic in the role of reporter, he justified it very well. He has given remarkable performance in some emotional and serious scenes. Thamanna is okay and suited well to the Tomboyish role. Prakash Raj is good as usual. Kota Srinivas Rao and Tanikella Bharani are apt for their roles. Nassar, Ali, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana fitted to their roles. Gabriela is restricted to a couple of scenes and a song. The Art work is okay. The Cinematography and Editing are mediocre. Music is Average with couple of catchy songs. The story has strong potential but the screenplay could have been better. The production values are okay.

Analysis: Pawan looked good and focused. He delivered his lines with the emotion in peak heights. Thamanna is okay in the role of camerawoman. She dominates Pawan in the first half as pawan is subtle and calm. Gabriela (Billa 2 & Devudu chesina Manushulu “Disturb chesthunnade” fame) is okay. She appears only in the second half. Scarlette sizzles only in the item song “Joramocchindi”. Kota and Prakash raj are good in their roles. Ali,, Brahmanadam, MS are okay.

The Art work is good but most of the sets are in dark colors and The Lighting is not bright (may be intentional). The cinematography is mediocre. The VFX work could have been better. The editing is okay, the movie appeared bit lengthy. There are hardly no moments where Audience feel bored, they are engaged but not with satisfactory content.

Fans of Pawan kalyan are on cloud nine after the block buster Hit Gabbar Singh. The hype and Euphoria started well before when the teasers and Audio songs got released. Gabbar Singh is a typical Mass masala flick with all ingredients. Puri did not concentrate on mixing the mass elements (All the scenes appeared artificial even though he tried in couple of places). The movie goes on a single point agenda of how media works and how it should be? Dialogues of Puri are again a Highlight in this movie. Puri proved once again that he is good at scripting strong Dialogues.

There are only three stories to which the Scenes shift:- Pawan-Thamanna Thread, Kota_Prakash raj thread and Studio scenes in the combination of Ali or Brahmanandam.  Director puri has selected a strong message oriented concept and pawan’s performance made it even powerful but the execution leaves the Audience unsatisfied at times.

There are some scenes which work very well
--------------
Pawan telling to Thamanna that all girls are Ordinary and only Men make them feel extraordinary (followed by song)

Pawan talking to media in the Pre-Climax (“Poradithey Poyedhi Emi ledhu baanisa Sankellu Thappa”)

Kota Coming to the Studio where Pawan works to question his son’s Arrest is very good.

Hilarious scene in the studio, where pawan asks Brahmanandam to read news.

Pawan Questioning Prakash raj just before his arrest regarding ‘Telugu Thalli’

Fight sequence where Prakash tries to kill Pawan and shoot that (railway wagon shed).
 --------------------
These scenes work well not only with fans but appeal to all the sections. The entertainment quotient also did not work as expected.

The Sequence of songs:
First half:

1. Joramocchindi
Singers: Kushi Murali,   Shravana Bhargavi
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla
The song is picturised as Item song on Scarlette and pawan. The song is catchy.

2. Extraordinary
Singers: Hemachandra
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla
The song is picturised on Thamanna and Pawan, The song is melodious and slowly gets into the nerves. Pawan has come up with some simple steps.

Second Half:
3. Pillani Choosthey
Singers: Karunya, Chaitra
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla
Picturised on Gabriela and Pawan, Pawan appears in traditional costumes. The song is okay.

4. Melkal Thiruguthuntey Ammayo
Singers: Narendra, Geetha Madhuri
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla
The Song Picturised on Thamanna and Pawan in typical Mexican/European Cow boyish style. The song looked good on the screen.

5. Thaladinchuku
Singers: Hemachandra, Karunya, Srikrishna, Narendra
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla
The song comes in the climax where all the supporters of Rambabu come over to Hyderabad

CMGR Theme
Singers: Hemachandra, Karunya, Narendra
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla
The theme song is used as background score in a couple of scenes.

The songs are okay on the screen, couple of songs got highlighted due the previous establishment scenes (Joramocchindi and Melkal thiruguthuntey). All the songs (duets) are picturised in interiors (sets) which gave a dark feel. The Background score is good. The BGM just before the speech of Pawan before media is damn good.

The First half is passable and the second half is good. It’s a feast for the fans to watch their hero delivering his best lines. Pawan kalyan mesmerizes Once again with his explosive and electrifying performance.  A sensitive and message oriented movies which touch Social issues and contemporary problems should be told in a commercial format (sugar coated) to make them Big Hits, this movie lacks too many commercial elements.

Reel guru Meter:
Story/Screenplay: 50%
Performances: 80%
Entertainment: 30%
Narration: 50%

Watch the movie with fewer expectations to enjoy more. The Movie gets good openings and Collections (probably record high) as Pawan kalyan scored a big Hit recently. The Potentiality of the flick at the Box-Office depends on how the B, C Centers receive it.

Plus: Pawan kalyan, Dialogues, couple of songs and fights
Minus: lack of commercial elements

Verdict: Pawan’s show all the way. Can be watched for Pawan kalyan’s wonderful performance.

SIVATHANDAVAM Movie review

SIVATHANDAVAM

Review
Rating: 2.75/5.0
Presented by: UTV Motion pictures
Banner: Teja Cinema
Cast: Vikram, Anushka, Jagapathi babu, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Nassar, Santanam, Lakshmi Rai, Amy Jackson, saranya
Editing: Antony
Cinematography: Nirav Shah
Music: G.V.Prakash Kumar
Producer: C.Kalyan
Written and Directed by: Vijay
CBFC Rating: ‘U’
Release Date: 5-10-2012

Story:  Kenny (Vikram) is a blind man who lives in London and plays piano in a church. Sarah (Amy Jackson) is a British born Indian girl and winner of Miss London title, meets Kenny in a church and develops a soft corner for him. Kenny travels in a cab for which Satya(Santanam) is the diver and kills few people. Veerakathi(Nassar) is the police officer who investigates those murders. Why Kenny does all this? What’s the story behind his silence is what the remaining story is about?

Performances: Vikram has delivered another finest performance. He is very good. Anushka is good and suited well to the role. Jagapathi Babu is good as friend of Vikram. Santanam, Nassar are okay. Lakshmi Rai and Amy Jackson fitted to their roles. Cinematography is topnotch. Music by G.V.Prakash is good. Editing by Antony is okay. The story is simple and the screenplay is predictable. The Direction is good.

Analysis:  Vikram has come up with yet another different role. He tried a different character with varied shades. Vikram has done fantastic job both as Sivakumar and blind man Kenny. His body language and performance are of top class. Anushka played the role of wife of Vikram and she has given a very controlled and matured performance. Vikram does not have a lot of dialogues, but his eyes and expressions convey all the emotions. The Love thread between Vikram and Anushka is more like a Maniratnam montage with fewer dialogues. Jagapathi Babu is good in a pivotal role and he delivered the needed output.

Sivathandavam is the dubbed version of Tamil flick THANDAVAM released last week in Tamil. The story is not a new one, its simple - hero taking revenge type but the backdrop and execution is different. Music and background scores composed by GV Prakash Kumar are one of the highlights of the movie. The two melody songs with Anushka are good. The songs are melodious but slowed down the pace of the movie a little bit and appeared as speed breakers.

Santhanam has done a little bit of Comedy as a London taxi driver. He is good as usual with his typical comedy punches. Lakshmi Rai is seen only in a brief role. Art work is good. Cinematography by Nirav Shah is eye pleasing. The action choreography by Manohar Verma is awesome especially the fight scene when blind Vikram is attacked by foreigners in a park was well choreographed. The movie appeared bit lengthy, Antony could have trimmed the length of the movie; a ten minute chopping in the Telugu version could have helped in make it look crisper.

The director AL Vijay earlier directed KIREEDAM, MADRASAPATTINAM, DEIVATHIRUMAGAL(dubbed in Telugu as Nanna). The attempt of the director to mix the concept of human echolocation to a revenge drama is good but the concept could have been explained clearly to appeal to the masses. The screenplay is predictable at times. The movie runs with/around a few characters only. Vikram- Anushka love track was well dealt. It has shades of Ghajini. The concept of blind man performing murders reminds us of RENDU (starring Madhavan, Anushka) movie. There are some scenes which miss the general logic, keep them aside to enjoy the movie more.

The movie is targeted at Multiplex Audience.

Reel guru meter:
Story/Screenplay: 60%
Performances: 80%
Entertainment: 50%
Narration: 60%

Plus: Performances (Vikram), Direction
Minus: Slow Narration, Simple story

Verdict: Vikram’s show all the way, Not for all- Only for those who are bored of watching routine run-of- the- mill movies.

REBEL

Review
Rating: 2.75/5.0
Banner: Balaji Cine Media
Cast: Young Rebel Star Prabhas, Tamanna, Krishnam raju, Deeksha Seth, Brahmanandam, M.S.Narayana, Kovai sarala, Supreet,Ali
Lyrics: Ramajogayya Sastry, Bhaskarabhatla
Dialogues: Darling Swamy
Fights: Ram-Lakshman
Art: A.S.Prakash
Editing: Marthand.K.Venkatesh
Cinematography: Ram Prasad
Producers: J.Bhagwan, J.Pulla Rao
Story-Screenplay-Choreography-Music-Direction: Ragava Lawrence
CBFC rating: ‘A’
Release date: 28-09-2012
Theater watched: Prasadz, 8.45 A.M

Story: Rishi (Prabhas) comes to Bangkok along with brahmanandam and joins as a student where Nandini(Tamanna) teaches dance classes. Rishi actually has come over there in search of some one who is closely related to Nandini. He traps her in his love and what happens after that? What’s his mission? Did he succeed in that is what the film is about? Deepali(Deekshaseth) is Rishi’s lady interest in the flash back episode.

Performances: Prabhas is good. He performed well. He completely surrendered to the director. He emoted well in crucial scenes. Tamanna is used for skin show and she has done complete justice to it. Deeksha Seth is okay in small role. Krishnam raju appears in a brief role in the flashback. The remaining actors are okay. The art work is good. The Editing could have been better. Cinematography is good. Music is bad. The story is predictable. The screenplay is boring and the direction is poor (except a few episodes)

Analysis: Prabhas is good. He performed well in all the scenes. He is good in temple (Krishnam Raju, Prabha, and Deekshaseth) scene. He looked macho with stylish costumes. He once again proved that he is a director’s actor. He showed variation in all the get-ups. Tamanna looked good in glamour show and she has done a bit of over action (over board) at times. She danced well in the songs. Deeksha Seth is okay; she has less screen presence and can be seen in a song only. Krishnam raju is okay (doesn’t do much other than delivering dialogues sitting in a chair). Supreet got a crucial role and he impresses very well. Prabha, Mukhesh Rishi, Ali are okay.

Brahmanandam and Kovai Sarala track is the only comedy track in the film. The comedy is of cheap standards. Ali dance episode is dragged to the maximum limit. The second half is completely stuffed with violence scenes. The flash back episode also failed to rise to the expectations. There are very limited scenes in the movies. All the scenes are lengthy and appeared stretched. You may even get a feel like you are watching continuous lengthy episodes which are not edited.

Coming to the technical aspects, The Art work is fine and film is horribly lengthy with many ups and downs, the editor could have made it crisper. The Music of the film is a big letdown. The songs are not even worth for listening once. Lawrence should seriously think of quitting that responsibility (Music Direction). The Background score is loud at times.

Lawrence once again cooked up another film who doesn’t apply much of the brain and they don’t have many questions in their mind like why and how? The Fight sequences are well choreographed. They looked stylish. The pre interval, episode and the Fight at the temple and the climax fight looked good on the screen. Lawrence showed much maturity in monitoring Fights rather than choreographing the songs as the Music is utterly poor. The graph of the film suddenly drops and bores you and quickly rises to peaks just before the fight episodes. The violence dosage is more.

If you are a fan of Prabhas and waiting/wanting to see him in a mass role it’s for you, You can enjoy the movie more if you care less about logic, scenes and in the fights (if you are okay with heavy Thread work filled with artificiality)…..and last but not the least if you don’t bother much about the story You may watch it once.

Like earlier Lawrence movies this movie too has Black /white suits and cars. Fights shot in rain effects. Blue swimming pools with skin show, a chopper in the climax and some trained lady fighters. The movie has style even though it lacks substance. The fate of the Film completely depends on how the masses receive this flick.

Reel guru Meter:
Story/Screenplay: 40%

Hansika is beautiful and performed well. Saranaya impresses in her scenes. The remaining cast suited well. Cinematography is good. The art work and editing are okay. Muisc by Harris Jayraj is Average with a couple of catchy numbers. The story is simple, the screenplay is interesting and the direction is good in few scenes.

Analysis: Udayanidhi is okay and represents the present day youth who runs after girls. Udayanidhi (The producer turned actor) who made a cameo in Ghatikudu(Surya, Nayanatara), appears in the end of the film along with K.S.Ravikumar tried his hand as hero also. Hansika is beautiful with chubby looks; she has put on a lot of weight and looked odd in some costumes. Santanam has done a very good job. He has given his all time best with perfect comedy timing. Santanam is the saving grace with witty punch lines. Sunil has dubbed his voice in Telugu version. Initially it appeared that it’s a mismatch but later the timing is so good that you start enjoying. Sunil has done decent job.

Art work and Editing are okay. The cinematography by Balasubramanyam is good. All the frames looked rich. Music by Harrish Jayraj is okay, “Vaddu raa” and “Akila Akila” are foot tapping numbers. The Background score is good. The story of the film is wafer thin. The way it’s narrated is good. There are some repetitive scenes but can be ignored.

The Director Rajesh has come up with yet another film which revolves around love and friendship. All the movies(Siva Manasula Shakti- remade in Telugu as SMS, Boss Engira Bhaskaran- dubbed in Telugu as “Nene Ambani Aru Nelallo”) of Rajesh have common elements, Hero-Heroine have clash in their love thread, hero has a friend who delivers punch dialogues and becomes a fool in the end. Rajesh and Santanam combination rocks once again. Hero-Heroine ego problems have become repetitive in Rajesh films.

Tamil Hero ‘Arya’ and ‘Andrea’ made brief appearances in the climax. The flight scene where Sneha was seen in a cameo was edited in the Telugu version. There are limited characters in the film which may bore you at times. Saranya impresses once again in her scenes. All the scenes of Santanam and Udayanidhi are entertaining. The story narration scene on the stage towards the climax is good. There are many scenes which are predictable and nonsensical but make you sit all through. There is no big story in Ok Ok but the way its packaged entertains you.

The movie is targeted at youth Audience and it may go well if received by them.

Reel guru meter:
Story/Screenplay: 60%
Performances: 60%
Entertainment: 70%
Narration: 60%

Plus: Entertainment, Santanam
Minus: wafer thin story line, limited characters

Verdict: An OK love story---Decent and Clean youthful Entertainer
