Story:
Jasmine Falguda alias JAFFA(Brahmanandam) is an expert in escaping from
jail. He narrates his story to a writer about his experiences. Jaffa is
a software engineer and he is tortured by his boss Melkote (Melkote).
He gets arrested for being responsible for his colleague’s death
(Dhanraj). How he escapes from the jail forms the remaining part?
Performances:
Brahmanandam tried his best to pull the film with his typical repeated
expressions but sad, he couldn’t do it. Vennela kishore, Dhanraj,
Melkote, Thagubothu Ramesh, Ahuthi Prasad, Raghubabu and others played
supporting roles and they have no idea what they are doing.
Cinematography (angles) is okay in few scenes. Editing is jerky. Anup’s
background score is pretty mediocre. There is no story and the
screenplay is boring. The direction is amateurish. The production values
are poor.
Analysis:
Vennela Kishore who tasted a failure with his directorial debut
“Vennela 1 ½” is back with another logic less and insane story. The
movie raised expectations due to the stylish trailer and Brahmanandam
factor. The movie starts on a confused note and after the first half an
hour it becomes irritating and repetitive. The second half is very hard
to tolerate. Brahmanandam who saved many films earlier could not save
this as there are no proper scenes that establish his character nor
entertainment. The Technical departments couldn’t save this content less
film. Cinematography is okay in few places. Editing and Artwork are
poor. Screenplay is boring. Anup Rubens came out with mediocre
background score. The story, Screenplay, Dialogues and Direction are
hopeless.
Vennela
kishore hasn’t followed minimum basic rules which build a movie.
Neither a Scene nor an emotion has worked well. Vennela kishore has
failed out utterly. There is absolutely no entertainment. There are a
couple of humorous dialogues/scenes but they are out of place. You can
witness a couple of Facebook jokes which have been shared a hundred
times. One cannot understand what church father ( Raghu babu) is doing
there. Thagubothu Ramesh repeats his routine drunkard act and it’s
horrible. The coffin comedy is unbearable. The only best part of the
film is its short duration and it has no songs. It looks like a dragged
short film shot on Digital Camera and watched on a big screen.
Poor Story telling by Vennela Kishore.
